Disciplinary investigations

Article 9 of the current law about the General Police Inspectorate stipulates that the IGP undertakes disciplinary investigations according to the law from July 18, 2018 about  the disciplinary status of police personnel of the Police. 

This is a new competency of the IGP as before August 1st, 2018 these disciplinary cases against Police members were investigated internally. Now the IGP conducts the disciplinary affairs after they have been opened by the General Director of the Police.

A new department has hence been put into place inside the IGP.
