The General Police Inspectorate comprises three departments:
- Audit department: advice notes, studies, follow-up studies;
- Investigations department: judicial and administrative investigations;
- Control and administration department.
Furthermore, it has a legal advice and a quality control service.
IGP staff is composed of civil servants and police officers.
