25th Annual Conference of the EPAC/EACN Network in Montenegro

From 5 to 7 October 2026, Patrick Even, Deputy Inspector General, represented the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) at the 25th Annual Conference of the EPAC/EACN network, held in Budva, Montenegro.

This anniversary edition brought together more than 180 participants representing over 85 organisations from more than 30 European countries.

Discussions focused in particular on the independence of oversight bodies, whistleblower protection, and the use of new technologies in the fight against corruption.

The conference concluded with the adoption of the Budva Declaration, reaffirming the importance of international cooperation and the strengthening of oversight institutions.

As a member of the network since its inception, the IGP has actively contributed to this European cooperation. Its participation in the 25th Annual Conference reflects its commitment to exchanging best practices and strengthening international cooperation in the fields of anti-corruption and police oversight.
